Also underway as preparations crescent to finale, the Entertainment Society of Goa is also working on getting various countries to set up trade pavilions for IFFI’s film bazaar. The beautiful heritage building currently serving as the nerve center for the festival offices will function as the administrative and media center to facilitate smooth flow of communication and participation. Building upon ESG’s mandate to enhance feasible infrastructure to host IFFI with the first four-screen INOX multiplex built in record time of 100 days in 2004, the ESG has currently initiated several infrastructural proposals to strengthen its assets in the smooth execution of the film festival.
Commenting on the upgradation of infrastructural facilities for IFFI, CEO, Entertainment Society of Goa, Ms Nandini Paliwal says, “The Government of Goa is committed to making the initial investments to make the film festival a self-sustaining event. We’re working hard in this direction.” With the Entertainment Society of Goa in the running to take over IFFI in the near future with a team dedicated towards its success and management, the show has begun to roll for an encore with lights, camera and action.
