Director's Biography:  Manmohan Shetty is one of the most significant people in Indian Entertainment economy today. At the helm of Adlabs Films Ltd, arguably India’s biggest entertainment conglomerate with its current market capital exceeding Rs.1200 crores, Mr. Shetty is seen as one of the key visionaries in the industry. Beginning as a small film processing company servicing Ad filmmakers 27 years ago Mr. Shetty worked hard to create one of the most integrated and comprehensive business ecosystems in Indian entertainment. With its significant presence in film production, film processing, film distribution and exhibition, Adlabs is the key motion picture company of a nation with a booming entertainment scenario. Being a keen follower of technology he established India’s first and world’s largest IMAX dome theatre and the company made its exhibition foray with its first multiplex in Mumbai in 2000. He also made Adlabs a public limited company and went for an IPO, one of the first and few Indian entertainment companies to do so, in the same year. With an upswinging economy and fast changing lifestyle of metropolitan he saw a great scope in multiplex business and made a timely entry into it and the emerging trends only proved him right. In next few years Adlabs multiplexes made strong business gains and are not a premium multiplex brand of the country with a national presence. Digital cinema is another business area that Mr. Shetty followed at Adlabs. Taking in account the unique film distribution pattern and socio geographic realities of India, digital prints have the potential to redefine the film distribution business. Manmohan Shetty is also widely respected figure in entertainment industry and enjoys excellent business relationships with almost all decision makers of the industry. The government of India too recognizes him as one of the prominent figures. He is currently Chairman of the National Film Development Corporation.
