Synopsis : The thief duo, Khalujaan and his nephew Babban steal a prized necklace. With the police after them, they split. Later, Babban finds Khalujaan posing as a nawab attending a poetry contest to woo the widowed Begum of Mahmudabad, Begum Para. Babban falls in love with Begum Para's assistant Muniya and they plan to kidnap the Begum when things get complicated.


Pt. Birju Maharaj (1938 – 2022) was an Indian dancer, composer, singer and exponent of the Lucknow ‘Kalka-Bindadin’ Gharana of Kathak dance in India. A descendant of the Maharaj family of Kathak dancers with his two uncles, Shambhu Maharaj and Lachhu Maharaj, and his father and guru, Acchan Maharaj, he choreographed and composed music for many Indian movies, practiced Hindustani classical music as a vocalist. A recipient of the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award (1964) and the Padma Vibhushan (1986), he won the National Film Award for Best Choreography for Vishwaroopam (2012), and the Filmfare Award for Best Choreography (2016) for Bajirao Mastani (2015).
