Synopsis: Following an ordinary fisherman’s quest for survival, this Manipuri drama delicately emphasizes the role of oppression and fear. A poetic ethnographic portrait, the film transports one to the meditative locales of Loktak Lake and its fascinating floating islands where following the accidental discovery of a gun, a depressed fisherman experiences a new confidence that soon threatens to balloon into arrogance.

Director: Haobam Paban Kumar is an Indian filmmaker from Manipur. His films and documentaries have been screened globally. His debut feature film, Loktak Lairembee won the National Film Award for Best Film on Environment Conservation/Preservation (2017) and was the German Star of India at the 14th Indian Film Festival in Stuttgart, Germany (2017). Kumar's documentary AFSPA 1958 in 2006 was a highly critical and widely appreciated film across the globe on the harsh reality of the ill-effects of the Armed Forces Special Power Act in Manipur.
