The Restored Classics section exhibits the films that have been digitally restored. Restoration entails removing the time-induced defects from the source material like celluloid material using digital tools at disposal, to impart cinephiles the viewing experience as close as possible to its release.

Restoration involves historical and technical research and is guided by the ethical guidelines to adhere to while the restoration is carried out. It does not involve changing of content in any way that deviates from the original way it was made available for viewing.
