Synopsis : Shyam, an ambitious middle-class man meets Rukmini, a millionaire’s daughter, and marries her despite opposition from her family. Shyam wants to become a father, but Rukmini is not interested in becoming a mother yet. Consequently, their relationship sours. Shyam finds solace in the company of Radha, the daughter of Shyam's employee that complicates the lives of all three.
Director’s Bio : Sawan Kumar Tak (1936 –2022) was an Indian film director, producer, and lyricist. He began his career as producer for the film Naunihal (1967) starring Sanjeev Kumar which received the Presidential mention at the National Film Awards. His directorial debut was Gomti Ke Kinare (1972), which was Meena Kumari's last film, released posthumously. He directed many successful Hindi films and is credited for giving breaks to actors like Sanjeev Kumar and Mehmood Junior. His famous film Souten (1983) was a platinum jubilee hit. A prolific lyricist, he wrote songs for most of his produced and directed films, and for other films.
