Synopsis : Jaladhar Sen, retired and in his seventies lives with his wife, son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. The authoritative attitude and over-possessiveness of his son creates friction in their family. Jaladhar plans for a foreign trip and meets a travel agent named Tonic who later turns out to be a miracle maker in their life. As their foreign trip gets cancelled, the old couple plan a visit to Darjeeling without telling their son but Jaladhar falls ill there.
Director’s Bio : Avijit Sen is an Indian director working in television and has directed programs like Zee Bangla Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Didi No.1, Tumi Je Amar etc. Tonic (2021) is his directorial debut.
Producer : Bengal Talkies is a Bengali film production house in Kolkata with films like Sanjhbati (2019) and Tonic (2021). Projapati is lined up for release in 2022.
