IFFI is the only film festival in South Asia that is accredited by International Federation of Film Producers' Associations (FIAPF) of the international festivals in the Competitive Feature Films Category. Since its inception in 1952, IFFI has been curating spectacular films from all over the world. Its goal is to provide a single platform for ambitious filmmakers, cineastes, and industry professionals to have access to excellent cinema from across the world.IFFI's International Cinema section is an assortment of culturally and aesthetically remarkable films from around the world. 56th Edition – Closing Ceremony Celebrations
The prestigious Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in Cinema goes to Veteran Australian filmmaker Phillip Noyce at 55th IFFI.
Noyce, known for films such as the Angelina Jolie-starrer "Salt", "Patriot Game" starring Harrison Ford, and "The Bone Collector" featuring Denzel Washington and Jolie. Scheduled from November 20-28, 2024, in Goa, the festival highlights Australia as its Country of Focus, celebrating its cinematic contributions alongside this prestigious honor.
