Synopsis: In 1982, Wim Wenders asked 16 of his fellow directors to speak on the future of cinema, resulting in the film Room 666. Now, 40 years later, in Cannes, director Lubna Playoust asks a new generation of filmmakers the same question: is cinema a language about to get lost, an art about to die?


Directors Bio: Born in Italy, raised in Paris, Lubna Playoust is a French director and actress. In the initial days of her career she garnered a wide range of professional experience in the fields of art, fashion and marketing. Between 2016 and 2019 she trained in the art of filmmaking with Abbas Kiarostami in Cuba, and Lucrecia Martel in Barcelona. Both these experiences have contributed immensely to the creation of her short films, including her notable debut film -Waltz For Three. She has had a series of videos commissioned by Radio France, and actively involved in the process of curating and anchoring an AVOD streaming platform recently launched by mini major Mk2.
