Phil Giordano is an Italian-American filmmaker based in Manila, Philippines. He is a graduate of New York Universitys Tisch School of the Arts, where he won the prestigious Wasserman Award. Giordano is known for his emotionally intense, character-driven work that explores raw, immersive worlds. His short film SUPOT premiered in competition at the 2016 Busan International Film Festival, screened at several Oscar-qualifying festivals, and won the Hollywood Foreign Press Award. A seasoned commercial director, he has worked on high-profile campaigns for global brands such as Porsche, KFC, Johnson & Johnson, Universal Studios, and Dolce & Gabbana, and won an Effie Award for his iconic 'Sorry, Not Sorry' KFC campaign. His first feature, PUSOY, was produced by acclaimed director Brillante Mendoza (winner Best Director Cannes 08). Having lived in Manila and Singapore for nearly 15 years, Giordano brings a unique perspective to underrepresented narratives, blending American filmmaking expertise with the vibrant storytelling traditions of the Philippines.
