Gala del Sol is a Spanish-Colombian director, screenwriter and producer born in 1996, whose stories revolve around fantastic realism and have a punk aesthetic with a tropical twist. She was a finalist for the Student Academy Awards with her short film Transient Passengers (2018), her thesis from Chapman University. Rains Over Babel (2025) is her debut feature film, set to have its World Premiere at Sundance 2025 in the NEXT category and its International Premiere at the International Film Festival of Rotterdam in the Bright Future section. Shes currently developing her next two features, Moonchild and Ascension.
