In a city centered around an oil refinery, Maria refuses to settle for the position allocated to her, choosing instead to compete with men to become the leader of the gang. The arrival of striking singer Eleni changes the game and brings Maria closer to her mystical powers.
Evi Kalogiropoulou is a film director and visual artist working in Athens and London. She has a Masters from the Royal College of Art in Moving Image. Her projects explore ideas associated with inclusion/exclusion, cross-culture identity, female figures in Ancient Greek mythology frames, and post-apocalyptic environments.
