Synopsis :

A cinematic journey through the rugged Armenian highlands, Lullaby for theMountains is a testament to lives lived, lives lost, and a landscape that has stoodthe test of time. Over 15 vignettes, the film traverses the inner realms of ancientmonasteries and mountains, plunging through fire, gravestone and darkness intomysterious depths untold. In the echoey hollows of this surreal time-space,the line between reality and dreams is far from fixed.


Directors Bio :

Hayk’s debut feature film, “Lullaby For The Mountains,” had its world premiere at 2025 Sheffield DocFest as an official selection in the International First Feature Competition. Shot entirely on location in Armenia and executive produced by Béla Tarr. Hayks work has been screened at numerous international film festivals, including the Locarno Film Festival, Slamdance DIG, LA Film Festival, Atlanta Film Festival, AGBU Film at Lincoln Center, and the Werner Herzog Foundation. Hayk holds a BA degree in directing from UCLA and is an alumnus of Berlinale Talents, Sarajevo Talents, IFFR Sessions, the BFC Workshop in Peruvian Amazonia (mentored by Werner Herzog), and the Locarno Spring Academy (mentored by Béla Tarr). Born and raised in Armenia, Hayk currently resides in Los Angeles.
