Three old men live in an abandoned village cut off from the outside world and the passage of time. They spent their days drinking tea, smoking tobacco, and observing the desolate landscape. The course of their lives changes when the trio discovers a frozen boy in the river who decides to thaw and resurrect before their eyes granting each of them a miracle. Whether it was a guardian angel or the devil himself, his departure marks the beginning of the village's inevitable demise.
Dmitry Leonidovich Davydov is a Russian filmmaker and actor. He graduated from the Pedagogical Institute and worked as a psychologist, teacher, organizer of the children's movement and school director before turning to filmmaking. In 2014, he made the feature film «The Bonfire» on his own. The film was in post-production for more than two years. The film had its world premiere at the 21st Busan international film festival in 2016.
