Happy revolves around the desperate pursuit of an illegal Indian immigrant in Austria to provide a happy family for his little daughter, while grappling with the repercussions of a deportation notice. In the process, the film also exposes the same yearning for happiness of those who seem to have it all.
Sandeep Kumar is an Austrian filmmaker of Indian origin. In 2010 he released the first Austro-Bollywood film Kesariya Balam which received many awards. Servus Ishq, his second film, had a nationwide release and was produced by Oscar winning producer Josef Aichholzer.
