The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has introduced ‘75 Creative Minds of Tomorrow’. The segment is an annual platform at the International Film Festival of India held in Goa, to identify, encourage and nurture young creative talents from across various aspects of filmmaking.

A brainchild of Hon. Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Shri Anurag Singh Thakur, the initiative aims to encourage and nurture young creative talents from various trades of filmmaking. The initiative is in its third year, having been launched in 2021 to mark the 75th year of India’s independence as part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations. The 75 creative minds will be shortlisted and selected on the basis of their submissions by an eminent jury, under the aegis of the National Film Development Corporation ahead of the 54th edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI).

The selected 75 participants will be invited to the upcoming IFFI, where they will attend the Opening Ceremony of the festival, interact with Shri Anurag Singh Thakur, Honourable I&B Minister, network with the members of the global film fraternity present at IFFI, and witness the trade of Cinema at the Film Bazaar. The candidates will be honoured with a certificate of participation. As part of a specially curated activity, the 75 participants will be divided into 5 teams for the 'Film Challenge', to make a short film each, all in 48 hours. The challenge is organized in collaboration with Shorts TV UK, which has the world’s largest catalogue of high-quality short movies and series available on TV, on mobile, online, and in theatres. It also produces original short film content for broadcasters and brands. During the festival event in Goa, the selected ’75 Creative Minds of Tomorrow’ will also attend workshops and sessions especially curated by the masters of cinema.  For this edition of the Creative Minds of Tomorrow, applications are invited under the following categories:
