Synopsis: MANDALI mirrors the struggle to uphold righteousness in times of diminishing social conscience and downfall of cultural and traditional values through PURSHOTTAM aka PURU plays the role of Lord Laxman along with his cousin SITARAM, who plays Lord Ram in Ramleela Mandali, run by his uncle RAMSEVAK. Their life takes a blow during an event where they have to leave their performance midway because of an inadvertent mistake by Sitaram. Not being able to withstand the humiliation and guilt of ruining God’s name, Ramsevak, leaves performing Ramleela forever. And then Puru aims to bring his family back to the stage while fighting the evils happening on the Ramleela stage.

Directors Bio: Rakesh Chaturvedi Om is a theatre and film writer, director, actor and producer. A National School of Drama graduate, he is known for his noteworthy performances in acclaimed films like ‘Kesari’, ‘PadMan’, ‘Mee Raqsam’ amongst others, essaying pivotal roles and for directing compelling films like ‘Bolo Raam’, ‘BHK [email protected]’ and ‘Mandali’.
